Absorption capacity- good nightwear must absorb sweat and keep you comfortable and dry. Especially in Indian conditions where temperatures are too high, and the body sweats a lot. The best fabric for this property would be the modal fabric as it absorbs moisture even 50% more than cotton. 2nd best fabric in terms of absorption would be Cotton followed by Viscose. Modal Fabric or Viscose nightwear are more expensive than cotton ones because of their superior properties.
Breathability- Breathability is also a very important function of nightwear and natural fabrics have an edge over synthetic fibers. Cotton and model fabrics would be the most preferred for their ability to provide breathability. Viscose would be the next in this category to go for and it should be mixed with some of the Elastane to have a bit of elasticity. Even Lyocell would be a good fabric.

For strength cotton has the leading position because that is the strongest fabric so if durability is considered, cotton-based nightwear would be a choice 2nd in this category would be modal fabric followed by Viscose as they become weaker when they are wet.
